What that means in practice

The tours listed here are sold through GetYourGuide and Viator. When you follow a link from one of these pages and go on to book, the platform pays us a share of its own commission. You pay the same fare either way; the price on the booking page is the operator's price, not a marked-up one.

What we are not

We are not a tour operator. We do not run any of these tours, employ any of these guides, or hold your booking. Your contract is with the operator, through the platform.

We have no connection with the Musée du Louvre, the French state, Atout France, or any tour company.

How tours get listed

Operators cannot pay for placement, position or a badge. A badge on a card is a measured claim: Top rated only on a tour rated 4.9 or higher, Best seller only on the tour with the most reviews, Best value only on the lowest fare where travellers also rate the value highly. A platform's own badge is not shown.

Today Top rated sits on the private three-hour evening from the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel, rated 4.9 from more reviews than any other tour at that rating. Best seller sits on the group of up to six from the Palais-Royal metro exit, the most-reviewed listing. The lowest fare is the group tour before closing, whose own travellers rate its value lower than the rest, so nothing is marked Best value.

The featured tours at the top of the homepage are three different evenings from three different meeting points: the private three hours from the arch, the group of six from the metro exit, and the private two hours from the horse statue that end inside the museum.

No tour here is listed twice under different names. The two small-group tours share a shape, up to six guests for two hours, but they are different operators with different meeting points.

Prices, ratings and how current they are

Prices, star ratings and review counts belong to the operators and were taken from their own listings on 28 September 2026. They move, and the figure at checkout is the one that counts. Every fare is quoted in US dollars, the currency the listings were captured in, and never converted. The private fares are quoted a person for a party of two, and each price says so.

Opening hours, ticket prices, entrances and rules come from the museum's own website, louvre.fr. Sunset times are worked out from the standard solar equations for central Paris and rounded to five minutes. Where a detail comes from a listing, such as a meeting point, a start time or what the fare covers, it belongs to that tour.

What we deliberately do not publish

• A closed museum. No tour sells the galleries after the doors close to the public, so we never call an evening tour after-hours access, exclusive or empty, even where an operator's own title does. The Louvre is open to everyone until 9pm on its late nights.
• A listing's ticket price. Some listings quote a museum ticket at a figure the museum does not charge. We print only the museum's own €22 and €32.
• A start time a listing does not give. Where a listing prints no time, we print none.
• A promise about a room or a painting. The museum closes rooms week by week, and works go on loan or into restoration. We link the museum's schedule rather than print a room as open or closed.
• Skipping the queue. Every tour has a timed entry with the ticket already bought, but you still go through security, and some travellers queued. We do not promise you will walk straight in.
• Wine. No tour here includes a wine tasting, so none is advertised.
