Louvre Night Tour Tickets and Prices (2026)

A guided evening at the Louvre costs from $170.67 to $360.90 a person, and every louvre night tour tickets fare here already includes your entry. What moves the price is who is with you, how long you stay, and how many of you there are. Here is each fare, what it covers, and what it leaves out.

What does a Louvre night tour cost in 2026?

There are two price levels. A place in a group of up to six costs $170.67 or $175.22 a person. A private guide for your party costs $295.83 to $360.90 a person, quoted for a party of two.

The lowest fare is the group of six before closing, at $170.67 a person. The highest is the family evening, at $360.90 a person, quoted for two adults and a child. In between sit the private tours, at about twice the price of a group place.

Is the museum ticket inside every fare?

Yes. Every evening fare here includes your entry, with the time slot booked for you. On the family evening the fare covers the adults, and under-18s enter free anyway. You never buy a separate ticket on top.

For comparison, the museum's own ticket costs €22 for EEA citizens and residents and €32 for everyone else. Bought on its own, it cannot be refunded. The free list and the hours are in the visitor guide to the late openings.

Why is a private fare quoted per person for two?

Because the price varies with the size of your group. The private fares are shown per person for a party of two, and the figure per person falls as you add travellers. Two of you on the late-opening private tour pay $693.96 together.

The three-hour evening from 6pm sells only to parties of two or more. Enter your real party size when you choose a date, and the price updates before you pay.

What changes for a party of six?

For a group, the arithmetic turns. In a group of six you pay the same per head whatever your number: four of you pay $700.88 on the tour from the metro exit, or $682.68 on the tour before closing.

A private fare per person falls as the party grows, so for four to six people the gap closes. No listing prints the figure for six, so check your own at booking. For a family or friends travelling together, a private guide is often the better buy.

Do children and under-26s pay?

At the museum, under-18s of any nationality enter free, and so do EEA citizens and residents under 26. On a tour, a child still pays for the guide. The family evening is quoted for two adults and a child, and children aged 6 to 17 book at a lower rate than adults.

The group tours price every guest the same. If you travel with teenagers, compare the family evening's price for your party with four places in a group before you choose.

What does no fare include?

• Food and drink. You cannot eat in the exhibition rooms anyway.
• Hotel pickup. You meet your guide at the museum.
• Tips. Your call; a tip at the end is welcome if the guide made the evening.
• Transport to the meeting point.
• Any single painting. The Mona Lisa is on every highlights route, but rooms close without notice, so no fare can promise it.

Can you cancel or change the date?

Each evening fare here refunds in full if you cancel at least 24 hours before the start. To change a date, cancel in time and book again. Inside 24 hours, expect to lose the fare.

A museum ticket bought on its own is the opposite: it cannot be changed, exchanged or refunded. If your dates may move, a tour with the ticket inside is the safer booking.

Is there a booking fee on top?

The fare shown is the fare you pay for the tour and your entry. The group of six from the metro exit names every booking and museum fee as included, and the private three-hour evening names all taxes, fees and handling charges. Nothing else is added on the night.

What does the museum charge, for comparison?

• Ticket: €22 for the EEA, €32 for everyone else, in euros only.
• The museum's own Friday tour: €12 on top of the ticket, or €9 at the reduced rate for visitors who enter free.
• Audio guide: €6.
• First Friday evening: free after 6pm, except in July and August.

What would a family of four pay?

Take two adults from outside Europe and two children under 18, on a Friday evening. On your own, you pay €64: the children enter free. On the museum's own tour, you pay €106, with €12 for each adult and €9 for each child.

A group of six costs the four of you $700.88 or $682.68. The family evening quotes its price for your party at booking, with the children at a lower rate. On a free first Friday, the museum charges you nothing at all.

What does a fare buy that a ticket does not?

• A guide. Licensed or professional, and for your party alone on the private ones.
• A booked time slot. Your entry is arranged before you arrive, so you queue only for security.
• A refund. Up to 24 hours before the start, where a museum ticket gives you none.
• A small group. Six at most, against the museum's own tour, which sets its own group size.
• Something extra on some fares: fast-track entry on the private tour in eight languages, and reserved access to the museum on the group of six before closing.

Why are the fares in dollars and the museum in euros?

The tour fares here are shown in US dollars, the currency they were listed in. The museum's own prices are in euros, and it takes payment in euros only. We never convert one into the other, because the rate moves and your bank sets its own.

So compare like with like. A tour fare already holds your entry; a museum ticket is only your entry. When you book a tour, the checkout shows the price for your party and date before you pay, and your confirmation arrives as a mobile ticket.

Does a higher fare buy a better evening?

Not in a straight line. The highest fare, the family evening, has a single review so far. The three-hour private evening costs less and scores 4.9 from 59 reviews. The lowest private fare, the tour in eight languages, scores 4.7 from 8.

Is the price difference worth it?

You are paying for three things: a guide, a small group, and a refund. If you would enjoy the evening alone, keep the money. If it is your one evening at the Louvre, a guide saves the time you would spend lost between wings.
